The Sustainable Development at TerraVentoux

Sustainable Development is "a development which provides a response to the needs of the present without compromising the possibility for the future generations to fulfil their own needs."
It has three goals: the economic efficiency, the social equity and the preservation of the environment.

TerraVentoux is voluntarily taking part in Sustainable Development by means of the 3 D diagnosis (Destination Durable Development). This is an inter-regional project involving Southern French regions.

It is divided in three stages:

• the training of the TerraVentoux staff to Sustainable Development (completed)
• a preliminary diagnosis (completed)
• the drawing up of a plan of action (this stage will be completed in 2010)
